The staff of Peak Consulting has extensive experience in all aspects of third party reimbursement and in most segments of institutional healthcare. Areas of concentration include Medicare and Medicaid cost report preparation, and other Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement assistance.

We have handled all aspects of the cost reporting process for provider types from small independent home health agencies to large teaching hospitals. Peak Consulting has also provided assistance with other reimbursement related matters, such as geographic reclassification applications, budgeting contractual allowances and provider classification issues. In addition we have experience in reimbursement maximization, financial projections, time studies, square footage studies and feasibility studies.

Resume of Donald J. Peak - President of Peak Consulting

Mr. Peak has been the president of Peak Consulting since 1992. Mr. Peak also spent over six years on the staff of two large international accounting and consulting firms, where he participated in a variety of healthcare audits and consulting engagements. Mr. Peak started his healthcare career as an auditor for a Medicare Fiscal Intermediary (FI). In total he has over thirty years of experience in healthcare finance.

In addition to extensive experience in Medicare, Medicaid and other areas of healthcare finance, Mr. Peak is also an accomplished computer programmer. He has authored numerous computer programs, from simple spreadsheet financial models to complete retail products. As a corporate officer Mr. Peak has experience in all aspects of creating and running small businesses - having started over a half dozen companies, and serving at the board level for an SEC reporting company.

Mr. Peak is a graduate of Indiana State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Mr. Peak is also a member of the Board of Directors of a for-profit insurance company, where he serves as the chairman of the Finance committee.
